The Challenge:
ThemeDream was hired to bring new liveliness and creativity to their corporate client’s annual department retreat on the sea cliffs of Aptos, CA.
 
The Results:
ThemeDream transported guests into the colorful world of “Barbieland” inspired by the recent blockbuster movie release. Guests were encouraged to dress in their favorite Barbie-themed attire; however, wigs and accessories were also provided for playful photo opportunities. A real Barbie and Ken greeted guests as they arrived to the event for paparazzi photos on Barbieland’s pink carpet entrance. Guests then entered the world of Barbie and were immediately immersed by giant custom-fabricated Barbieland backdrops. Before sitting down for dinner, guests sipped on Barbie-themed cocktails with playful garnishes such as cotton candy, pop rocks and pink roses at Barbie’s Dream Bar. One of the biggest hits of the night was taking photos inside an 8’ tall, custom-fabricated Barbie doll box. Once dinner was done and the clock struck “Come On Barbie! Let’s Go Party!”, a flash mob drew the entire crowd to the ocean terrace LED dancefloor as the dance group performed a choreographed routine to Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night”. DJ Just Ken then kicked the party into 5th gear as guests were handed pink LED batons and sang & danced the night away!
